This weekend I visited the SFN Expo in Glasgow, a place where thousands of health and fitness enthusiasts gather together to share their love of peanut butter and all things fitness. There was so much going in including Crossfit Competitions, Strongman/ Woman Competitions, Powerlifting, Yoga classes and Les Mills Classes. There was also such a range of amazing speakers hosted on three different stages; the sisterhood stage, the education stage and the main stage.
All three of the stages had great speakers from Phil Learney and Ben Coomber to Lauren Tickner and Rhiannon Lambert. I particularly enjoyed the Lauren Tickner and The Lean Machines Q&A on how to grow your social media. As well as the Girl Gains talking about Body Confidence and Self-Love. There really was something for everyone not matter what aspect of fitness you were into.
There were also a great range of stands and exhibitors at the expo, giving away lots of free samples I should add! I got to sample lots of new supplements and healthy protein treats, which is always a bonus! Not to mention, treating myself to some new lifting accessories from the Strength Shop and Winter Spice seasoning from The Gym Chef. I also tried one of the new Warrior Supplements Crunch Protein Bars which I have written a review of here on my Instagram.
Throughout the day there were also meet and greets with some of my favourite influencers, including my favourite… Lauren Tickner. She was so lovely, I got talking to her about powerlifting and training even though I was completely and utterly fan girling.
Even though I never went last year, this year’s expo looked so much better and bigger! Considering it is only its fourth year running, they did a very good job. With great brands, influencers, educators and fitness idols all working to bring people together and create a community environment, it really was lovely. I also met some lovely girls and got so much inspiration and motivation for my business.
Would I go to the SFN Expo again next year? Absolutely, honestly everyone was lovely. It was a much friendlier environment than I had anticipated. Having seen pictures of Body Power I thought it would be similar with girls walking around half naked, posers and people who literally think they have been sent by god. But the SFN Expo was the complete opposite, everyone was just there to have fun and enjoy the weekend! I would definitely return next year!
Also, the free goody bag filled with Gymshark clothing, shaker cups, NOCCO drinks, skinny cocktails, and other free samples, is enough for anyone to want to return!
