3 Self-Help Books Every Woman Needs To Read

Self-Help Books Every Woman Needs

If you’re a follower of my blog, you’ll know I’m all about Self-Love, Empowering and Healing unhealthy relationships with yourself and food. I’m also a big fan of motivational and self-help books and I love them as sources of inspiration for myself and my writing. I wanted to share with you my favourite self-help books so that you too can love them as much as I do.

Here are my Top 3 Empowering Self-Help Books :

Mel Wells: The Goddess Revolution

This book changed my life. It altered my mind-set and I can’t thank Mel enough for that. What she has done is truly amazing, she’s inspired so many women to ditch the diets and focus on a healthy sustainable lifestyle.

At a time when I was very vulnerable, suffering from obsessive macro-tracking and over exercising, this book was just what I needed. As the book reads, ‘If you’ve ever struggled with diets, food, body image or your weight, then The Goddess Revolution is your new handbook for life’ which is so true. Without this book, I don’t know how my mind-set would be now because it has been such an important part of my journey to self-love.

I have read the book more times than I can count and have even been through and highlighted my favourite quotes (complete geek, I know)! I will often also reference some of the quotes in my posts or on my Instagram because there isn’t a single topic untouched. From everything to bingeing, under eating, obsessively tracking, over exercising, or just unhappy with your body image or weight… I feel any woman would be able to relate and it promotes such a positive healthier way of living.

If you’re struggling with your relationship with food, over thinking and worrying about meals or social events, I can’t recommend this book enough. It literally is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the cover, and I think it should be a must read for all women. If this sounds like something you would benefit from, you can buy this book here.Self-Help Books Every Woman Should Read

Rebecca Campbell: Light is the New Black

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll also know I’m ALL about following your passion and your souls true calling and this is exactly what this book is all about. I came across this book years ago and just bought it on a whim thinking nothing of it. I remember starting to read it and thinking what is this woman talking about? Soul? Light? Authentic Life? EH?! Only now do I realise that then I was literally about as deep as a puddle. I hadn’t found myself, my calling and I was living a life everyone else around me wanted me to.

Nothing in the book made sense because it was so far out from the life I was living. BUT now, every single word in that book speaks to me. It is my favourite book of all time and I will always believe that buying this book was a sign. It was a sign from the universe that I should be doing something else and living as my most authentic self.

This book has also helped me believe that everything that happens in life is for a reason. From the people you meet, the paths you cross and even hitting rock bottom. It is all for a reason, and the universe always has your back no matter what.

There’s so many chapters and pages in this book which I have read over and over. I literally cannot get enough of it. Each chapter is only 1-2 pages long and covers a different topic about your journey to enlightenment. Making it super easy to pick up and read about whatever topic you need that day. Bursting with empowering and uplifting quotes, it is the perfect book for all my fellow Spirit Junkies on their path to living a miraculous life.

If you feel like you could do with a giant hug from the universe, you can buy this book here, you will not regret it!

Elle Darby: You Do You Boo Guide

For those of you that don’t know who Elle Darby is, get to know BOO! She’s literally my ultimate girl crush in every way; yes, she is a stunner but her bubbly personality is next level (you know what I mean boo).

She’s best known for being a social media influencer and you tuber, but also appeared on TV shows and just an all-round sweetheart. When she released her E-book guide, my boyfriend bought it for me as a gift and he got her to send me a little letter with it! Which she did and it was literally the cutest thing (major boyfriend points scored)!

I have always loved Elle’s you tube videos especially the way she talks about life, and I followed her journey of leaving her job and university to follow her dreams. But I hadn’t expected her self-help book, the Freedom guide, to be anywhere near as amazing as it is.

It rings home to me so much, including chapters such as ‘Identifying your Self’, ‘The Good Kind of Selfish’ and ‘Billy No Mates’. As well as mini challenges to engage you in becoming the best version of you which are so helpful.

At the point in my life when I read the guide, I was already on the way to following my dreams. But I had my doubts and worries and was probably letting other people’s opinions get to me too much. This guide taught me to not care about what others think, and just do what makes me happy. Because of this, I am now building my business doing what I LOVE, living a life I LOVE and surrounded by only the people I LOVE and could not be happier.

If this sounds like something you could relate to, you can buy the e-book here. But I am aware it is expensive, so you can also subscribe to her you tube to watch all her FREE content here.

I hope this post has brought you to a book which will help you in some way. Remember, there’s a reason for everything. Even a reason that you are reading this post right now. Maybe it’s because you were supposed to find one of these self-help books? Maybe it’s just the tool you need to start your very own journey. Or maybe it will open your life up to so many wonderful things and so much happiness you could burst? Who knows, there’s only one way to find out…
