If you’re a follower of my blog, you’ll know I’m all about Self-Love, Empowering and Healing unhealthy relationships with yourself and food. I’m also a big fan of motivational and self-help books and I love them as sources of inspiration for myself and my writing. I wanted to share with you my favourite self-help books so that you too can love them as much as I do.
We all have dreams and goals but sometimes they can seem so unrealistic and unachievable. Do you often wonder how all the other successful girl bosses made it? Are you comparing yourself and wondering if you’ll ever catch up? Well stop… if you aren’t where you want to be yet, no problem! It’s just time to set yourself a killer girl boss routine and begin smashing your goals.
If you have been following my blog over the past few months, you’ll know that I have been running a series of blog posts called the Guide to Self-Love. I want to share with you all how important it is to love yourself and live as your best self. Through doing this, I have let go of my bad relationship with food, become the happiest I have ever been and learnt to not give a sh*t about what other people think.
Today, there aren’t many girls which AREN’T on some sort of hormonal contraception. So many young girls are put on to the pill by their GP from the age of 14-15. Often not even for contraception but to regulate periods or prevent acne. This can cause complications later in life because rather than fixing the original problem such as irregular, heavy or painful periods, they have simply masked it with the pill.
Self-care is simply about taking good care of YOU. Doing things to improve your mood, make you feel amazing and brighten your day. It could be as simple as running yourself a bath, going for a walk or buying yourself a treat. But self-care is a responsibility, you need to do it to appreciate yourself, love yourself and be happy in your own skin.
The more time you dedicate to taking care of yourself, the stronger the relationship you have with yourself will become. You’ll also find every other relationship you have in your life will benefit too, because you can’t pour from an empty cup. You must take care of yourself first.
